Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the climatic potential for tourism activities in the Romanian coast of the Black Sea so that the development of the services in this domain becomes as lucrative as possible. It was thus observed that the impact of climate on tourism is manifested firstly at a psychological, bad weather becoming through its inconveniences an obstacle rarely overcome by the tourist. This paper emphasizes the degree of involvement of the main climatic elements such as nebulosity, frequency of precipitations and their aggregation state, air temperature, winds etc. in the definition of the notion of “good weather.”
