Abstract

The nowadays Bucharest suburbia is the result of 25 years of regulatory
developments, as well as the characteristic element of socioeconomic change in post-communist
Romania. Legislative compliance of peripheral urban dynamics was matched by how interactions
between public and private stakeholders favored a certain type of urban morphology. A parallel with
earlier periods try to highlight the nature of these relationships and the impact on the production of the new single detached house neighborhoods.
